I am a biologist, with a particular interest in histology.
Master of Science (M. Sc) in Biology (Zoology option) at the Free University of Brussels (ULB).

Masters dissertation : Influence of pH on the skin of three species of teleost fish (Xiphophorus helleri, Danio rerio, Kryptopterus bicirrhis).

As a zoologist, I am currently teaching assistant in biology at the ULB medical school. I am moreover manager of the public aquarium of the RBINS (Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences) where I used to work as a science guide.
I concurrently developed an activity based on ecological and sustainable aquariology during a few years.

Other particular interests : animal world with a marked interest for fish (ichthyology, aquariology, aquaculture, aquaponics, fishing etc.) – Environmental issues - Biodiversity - Natural Sciences and Nature - Sustainable development - Food, Nutrition and Health and so on.

During the many years I spent at the Laboratory of animal histology (ULB), I had the opportunity to recover, dust, sort, collect, mount, colourise, analyse, study and understand thousands of varied, original and interesting histological sections.

One of my greatest wishes was to publish them gradually on the internet. And that’s what I am actually doing in order to share them with the largest number of people for the years to come.
